GLORY's return to Croatia will be a bittersweet moment for Antonio Plazibat, who’s spent the better part of the last half-decade persuading the promotion to hold an event in his native country.

Croatia's best kickboxer has been forced to withdraw from the main event of GLORY 95, set to take place on September 21 in Zagreb, Croatia, due to an elbow injury. According to the results of an MRI he underwent on August 2, he was diagnosed with bone degeneration caused by a subhondral elbow cyst, a stress fracture of an upper arm bone, cartilage inflammation and tendinitis. On a happier note, the injury Plazibat sustained against Osaro has completely healed.

GLORY wasted no time in finding a replacement however. Bahram Rajabzadeh, who was expected to face Ștefan Lătescu in a light heavyweight fight at Glory 94 on August 31, will move up to heavyweight to replace Plazibat against Levi Rigters. A five-round title eliminator, the winner of the contest will earn himself the right to challenge the GLORY Heavyweight champion Rico Verhoeven.

While the fans will be disappointed by Plazibat’s withdrawal, the replacement fight will nonetheless provide plenty of entertainment for those that have already purchased tickets. The rest of the card remains unchanged, with a number of local kickboxers either making their debuts or making another appearance under the GLORY banner.
