The Belarusian and Azerbaijani pound-for-pound king makes his return.

ONE Featherweight Kickboxing champion Chingiz Allazov is set to make his first title defense against Marat Grigorian at ONE Fight Night 13 on August 5, as announced by the Japanese ONE Championship social media team. The event will go down at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

After dropping a decision to Enriko Kehl in his ONE Championship debut in April 2021, Allazov's winning streak that followed couldn't have been more perfect. Destroying Samy Sana and Jo Nattawut, he made his way into the ONE Featherweight Grand Prix Finals, and put on flawless three-round performance against all-time great Sitthichai, to earn his shot at the belt. In an early knockout of the year contender, he made quick work of Superbon, and now looks to finally settle the score against long-time rival Marat Grigorian.

The two have history, as they fought twice already, over a decade ago. The first bout ended in a no-contest after an unintentional illegal elbow early in the bout. The second fight, just eight months later, ended in a unanimous decision for Grigorian. A picture-perfect set-up for Allazov to take revenge and solidify his position as the kingpin of the division.

More fights are expected to be added in the coming weeks.
