After five years of anticipation since their originally scheduled 2020 bout was cancelled due to COVID‑19, Chadd “The Shark” Collins and Kento Haraguchi finally met at the RISE World Series in Tokyo for the Super Lightweight title. Haraguchi started strong, hurting Collins with body kicks in the opening round and scoring a knockdown with a high kick, but from the second round onward Collins took control with relentless forward pressure, wearing down the challenger.

After five rounds, Collins' impressive comeback was awarded with a split‑decision win to successfully defend his title.
