The former K-1 champion is back in two weeks.
Masaaki Noiri is making a swift return to the ring. Only a month after his surprising defeat to Liu Mengyang, the Japanese striker will compete at ONE 170 on January 24. The decorated K-1 fighter has yet to find success in ONE Championship, starting 0-2, and now looks to change that against Shakir Al-Tekreeti.
"I have nothing left to lose. I will definitely win," Noiri declared on social media.
Al-Tekreeti, 28, will debut in ONE’s kickboxing division, entering with a 1-1 record at 77 kg. The promotion might be hoping for Noiri to secure a win ahead of ONE's mega card in Japan on March 23, headlined by a five-round flyweight kickboxing bout between Rodtang and Takeru.
