ONE's expansion plans aren't only limited to the United States.

Last month, ONE Championship founder Chatri Sityodtong announced through social media that he accepted an offer to become a promoter at the prestigious Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. In the press conference yesterday the CEO unveiled a host of additional major news.

It was a star strutted line-up with ONE's biggest Thai stars and fan-favorites like Rodtang, Nong-O, and Stamp gathered, to announce that the promotion and the Royal Thai Army partnered up to produce a new weekly live show titled “ONE Lumpinee".

As announced at the press conference, ONE is planning to host 52 live events in Thailand starting January 2023, every Friday night, with each show being broadcast around the world in over 150 countries through ONE’s expansive global media rights partnerships. A major Thai broadcaster, soon to be revealed, will air all ONE shows in Thailand.

Other plans include strengthening the global Muay Thai industry by investing $100 million into it over the coming years. As part of that ONE Championship will launch Road to ONE partnerships with the biggest promotions in USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, South Africa, Mongolia, China, Japan, Philippines, Australia and Thailand with more countries coming soon. Canadian based promotion ‘Muay Thai World Cup’ for example, announced their Road to ONE partnership shortly after.

The landmark partnership aims to transform Muay Thai and the martial arts ecosystem in Thailand into a global attraction, while establishing Lumpinee Stadium as the Mecca of Muay Thai and the premier hub of sports entertainment and tourism in the country.

ONE also announced that it will be making its return to Thailand on January, 14 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok for “ONE on Prime Video 6”. The card will feature several of ONE’s Thai superstars, including former two-sport World Champion Stamp Fairtex, who will face top-ranked women’s Kickboxer Anissa Meksen in an MMA x Muay Thai mixed rules super-fight. ONE Muay Thai World Champions Nong-O Gaiyanghadao and Rodtang Jitmuangnon are also expected to be in action.
