Nieky Holzken turns back the clock and gets revenge against Sinsamut crushing him in a one round war at ONE Friday Fights 100.

In the co-main event of ONE Friday Fights 100, Nieky Holzken threw down and got his revenge against old rival Sinsamut. In an incredibly hectic bout, the Dutch kickboxer threw a beautiful sequence of two spinning wheel kicks that rocked and seemingly dropped Sinsamut—though the referee did not issue a count.

The two continued to slug it out and trade right hands, with Holzken being dropped and Sinsamut wobbled. The two would again continue to slug bombs at each other, as Holzken got the better of the Thai, dropping him face first to the canvas motionless, prompting the referee to wave the fight off immediately.

At 41 years old, Holzken proved he’s still a contender in the division and could find himself within reach of another title shot—especially with Arian Sadikovic and Dmitry Menshikov gone. His brutal knockout of Sinsamut couldn’t have come at a better time, with reigning champ Regian Eersel gearing up to defend his belt against Alexis Nicolas for the third time at ONE Fight Night 30 on April 4. With contenders running low, Holzken’s making a strong case to be next in line.

SANGARTHIT VS. SUPER YAY CHAN

Elsewhere on the card, boxing sensation Sangarthit made his ONE debut against Lethwei fighter Super Yan Chan. Boasting a perfect 19-0 record, the Thai prodigy was widely regarded as the next big thing in Thailand’s boxing scene but surprised many by signing with ONE Championship instead.

In his first kickboxing fight—and notably his first bout involving kicks in six years—Sangarthit took the opening round to adjust before taking over in the second with a sharp jab and a crisp right straight, sending Yan Chan down to the canvas for an eight-count. While Chan looked better as the fight progressed, Sangarthit’s early lead was enough to secure him a unanimous decision victory.
