After 17 months of inactivity, Chingiz Allazov has been stripped of his title.

ONE Championship has officially announced that Superbon has been elevated to ONE Featherweight Kickboxing Champion, confirming that Chingiz Allazov has been stripped of the title. Fans had anticipated this move, given Allazov’s inactivity throughout 2024, with his last fight taking place in August 2023 against Marat Grigorian.

Superbon, who claimed the interim belt in April with a decision victory over Grigorian, has been alternating between Muay Thai and kickboxing in recent months. His next challenge will be against Tawanchai for the featherweight Muay Thai title at ONE 170 later this month.

Tensions between Allazov and ONE have been well-documented, with the former champion stating that he and the promotion are "not on the same path."

Officially, his contract with ONE runs through December 2026, but being stripped of the title might suggest a shift in the dynamics between the two. "I left [the title] a long time ago. When I need it, I’ll come and take it. Good luck to everyone," Allazov posted on social media.
