After a more than two-year layoff from competition, Josh Jauncey, a former GLORY title contender, made his mark on the American regional scene. The British-born Canadian kickboxer shook off the ring rust and secured a finish in the quarterfinals as he destroyed Siron Harrison's legs in the third round.
In the semi-final round, he faced off against the Chicago native Anthony Schleicher, a veteran of the K-1 World Grand Prix qualifying round in Brazil, who gave Josh Jauncey his hardest fight of the night. However, Jauncey would secure the fight after dropping Schleicher with a heavy low kick, thus earning his spot in the final round.
In the final round, Jauncey faced off against Texan striker Henry Lewis Todd, who came out with heavy volume against Jauncey. However, the GLORY veteran stuck to his game plan and punished Todd's legs throughout two rounds, which eventually forced a doctor's stoppage, earning Jauncey the Husky Fat Promotions 155 lbs title and his ticket to Japan, where he will compete in future K-1 event. A return to the highest levels of kickboxing where he once belonged.
