GLORY Kickboxing confirmed today that Sergej Maslobojev has voluntarily relinquished the Light Heavyweight championship he earned at GLORY 100 on June 14, 2025, following a positive drug test. The Lithuanian secured the title in dominant fashion, knocking down Tarik Khbabez three times en route to a third-round knockout.

While Maslobojev has not disputed the test findings, he is now probing the potential source of the prohibited substance. According to Nadia Silk, GLORY’s Senior Vice President of Athlete Safety & Regulatory Affairs, Maslobojev is afforded a fair adjudication process under GLORY’s Anti-Doping Rules. His defense will be independently reviewed by the Anti-Doping Committee.
Maslobojev himself stated:
"I want to make it absolutely clear that I have never knowingly used any prohibited substance. I have sent all of my supplements for analysis to find the source of any contamination because I am absolutely committed to clean sport and fair play... I did not knowingly use any prohibited substance."
At present, he is provisionally suspended while the investigation proceeds.
