GLORY returned to Rotterdam Ahoy for another successful night.

GLORY 87 took place yesterday in Rotterdam, the Netherlands in a packed Rotterdam Ahoy. In search for the next entry for December's Heavyweight Grand Prix, the promotion pitted another four Heavyweights against each other. Shoot Boxing Ace Kaito Ono made his much-anticipated debut on European soil to challenge reigning GLORY Lightweight champion Tyjani Beztati for his belt in the headlining bout.

TYJANI BEZTATI VS. KAITO ONO

A complete shutout victory for GLORY Lightweight champion Tyjani Beztati. The Moroccan fighter cleverly kept Kaito on the outside, peppering him with long punches and kicks. Kaito had sporadic success with his signature calf kicks, but as the fight went on, it became more and more apparent that he was missing the necessary tools to effectively make his way to the inside to work his combinations. Beztati was content with outpointing the challenger for most of the fight, but opened up and unloaded in the final round, landing heavy uppercuts and hooks. All judges ringside scored every round for the defending champion.

BAHRAM RAJABZADEH VS. UKU JÜRJENDAL

Rajabzadeh and Jürjendal made their way into the Heavyweight Qualifier Finals with spectacular stoppages, promising an exciting clash. The naturally smaller Rajabzadeh was unloading heavy leather, but Jürjendal was weathering the storm. The high pace at the start definitely left a mark on the Estonian fighter as he slowed down considerably. Nonetheless, Jürjendal was eagerly trading in the pocket whenever Rajabzadeh opened up. In the end, all judges awarded the win to Rajabzadeh. After the fight, the enthusiastic knockout artist revealed his battle injury – a huge gash on his right foot that was squirting blood all over the ring.
