GLORY Kickboxing has officially confirmed the suspension of Sergej Maslobojev, six months after the situation was first made public.
Both out-of-competition and in-competition samples collected on June 14, 2025, at GLORY 100 returned positive for a metabolite of stanozolol. The substance falls under the anabolic agents category on the WADA Prohibited List, which is incorporated into GLORY’s anti-doping framework.
Due to his cooperation during the investigation, Maslobojev was granted a reduction and handed a 12-month suspension, effective from the date of the sample collection.
His result from GLORY 100, a knockout win over Tarik Khbabez, has now officially been overturned to a no contest. The Lithuanian had already vacated the light-heavyweight title following the initial announcement, with further financial consequences now confirmed by the promotion.
In the months since the case was revealed, Maslobojev has publicly pressed his case, investing his own resources into independent testing to challenge the findings. He shared footage and results from nail tests taken in London, and has said he plans additional hair analysis to show there was no long-term use of banned substances, as part of his attempt to prove he is a clean athlete.
