Roman Kryklia will make his long-awaited return to the ring, this time for the inaugural ONE Heavyweight Muay Thai Championship against Alex Roberts. The kickboxing champion tipped the scales at 225.50 lbs, Roberts came in 10 lbs heavier.
The rest of the weigh-ins didn't go down quite as smoothly. Five of the contracted 16 fighters failed to meet the required weight and hydration requirements.
17-year-old Malaysian fighter Johan Ghazali will have to forfeit a massive 50 percent of his purse after failing to make the Flyweight limit against Edgar Tabares. They will meet instead at a catchweight of 141 lbs.
Mohamed Younes Rabah came in over the limit and will have to forfeit 25 per cent of his purse to fight Saemapetch at a catchweight of 151.75 lbs.
Four years away from the ONE ring, Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat failed weigh in at 135 lbs and will therefore give up 25 percent of his purse to Denis Puric. Both fighters agreed to meet at a catchweight of 139.75 lbs.
Thongpoon and Ellis Barboza missed big time for their scheduled 120 lbs bout, and came in at 130.50 lbs and 132.25 lbs respectively. They both agreed to compete at a catchweight.
