The winner must survive three fights in one night to lift the trophy. The quarter-final pairings pit Romania’s Yuri Farcas against local favorite Eduard Aleksanyan, Portugal’s Iuri Fernandes against Moldova’s Alexandru Burduja, Tunisia’s Sharif Ben Mabrouk against Turkey’s Emin Özer, and Italy’s Ramon Quirini against Germany’s Ali Nasir. Aleksanyan, a crowd pleaser on home soil, is moving up in weight for a shot at the 95 kg title.
Behind the main draw sit two reserve bouts designed to keep the tournament moving if a fighter cannot continue. The winners must be ready to step into the bracket at short notice and keep fighting. In one of those matches, Mike Kena of the Democratic Republic of the Congo meets Argentina’s Pablo Molina, a three-time KWU SENSHI Amateur World Cup champion who just secured his third title in July by winning three fights across two days. The other reserve clash features Germany’s Agon Bellaqa against Nigeria’s Dirrick Binnendijk.
Kena, 29, trains in Italy and carries a 12-fight pro record with 10 wins, seven of them by knockout. He started martial arts at 21, inspired by heavyweights like Alistair Overeem and Tyrone Spong, and has since become a two-time Italian kickboxing champion and the 2025 Nice Fight four-man tournament winner. Ahead of SENSHI 33, he has been blunt about his intentions. “I’m here to take the belt or die trying,” he said, adding that no one in the tournament can stop him.
Three Super Fights complete the lineup. Giannis Eminov takes on Ognyan Mirchev in a headline-style matchup. In the KWU Full Contact division, Pedro Granjo faces Simeon Nakovski at -70 kg, while Danut Mihail meets Zhulien Rikov at -75 kg. Nakovski, a Bulgarian K-1 champion, has spoken about using the platform to prove he belongs among the promotion’s established names.
