The long-awaited ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Championship bout between Superbon Singha Mawynn and Chingiz Allazov has officially been rebooked for Friday, December 2.
The Thai champion will defend his title against Allazov at ONE on Prime Video 5, which will air live in U.S. primetime from the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.
Superbon is riding a 12-fight win streak and has looked unstoppable since joining ONE Championship – avenging losses to both Marat Grigorian and Sitthchai, and winning the title, knocking out Giorgio Petrosyan with a vicious high kick. The Thai has shown interest to give Muay Thai another shot, if he successfully defends his belt against the skillful Belarusian fighter. On top of ONE's Featherweight Muay Thai division newly crowned champion Tawanchai would oppose him.
Allazov earned this title shot opportunity by winning the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix in March. Running through Jo Nattawut and the seemingly unstoppable Sitthchai in the finals, he earned his ONE silver belt belt and shot up to the No. 1 contender spot.
However, he was forced to withdraw from his original matchup with Superbon at ONE on Prime Video 2 due to injury.
And although Tayfun Ozcan briefly stepped up to challenge for the throne, Superbon also withdrew during fight week, due to a sinus infection.
A blessing in disguise in the end, as both fighters are now back to their original opponent, ready to give the fans the super fight they've been longing for.
Additional fights that have been announced so far are a ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Title unification bout between Allycia Hellen Rodrigues and Janet Todd, while highly touted Roberto “Robocop” Soldic will make his ONE debut against unbeaten Russian Murad Ramazanov.
