The former ONE Featherweight champion takes on another top contender following his knockout loss.

ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong stepped in front of the Thai media today, and addressed several talking points that are currently hot topics in Thailand such as the small gloves, bribery issues, and some controversial decisions made in recent events. He also announced that Superbon Singha Mawynn against Tayfun Ozcan is planned to go down in about two months, at a location and venue yet to be announced.

In his most recent appearance, Superbon lost his ONE Featherweight title at the hands of Chingiz Allazov in a second-round knockout loss in January. Prior to that, he won and defended the belt against the absolute elite in the sport, Sitthichai, Giorgio Petrosyan, and Marat Grigorian. Consequently, he's now scheduled to take on the next highest-ranked fighter in the division, Tayfun Ozcan.

Ozcan, 26, had a rather rocky start to his ONE career, dropping out twice due to injuries and then losing close decisions to Sitthichai and Grigorian but in turn, putting on a flawless performance against Enriko Kehl. Fresh of a win outside of the promotion, the Dutch-Turkish now looks to prove that he's still in the title picture. Likewise, with a win here, Superbon could earn himself a rematch against Allazov according to Chatri Sityodtong.

Sityodtong also hinted that Giorgio Petrosyan might come back this year, but nothing is signed yet. He mentioned that Petrosyan's road to recovery has been a tough one, not only physically but mentally. The former K-1 MAX champion had four fractures in his jaw, and "nightmares every night for a year".

More details are to be announced in the coming weeks.
