Chanhyeong Lee will attempt his third Super Featherweight title defense against Taiga.

Taiga will look to continue his momentum from his 4-fight win streak and take the Super Featherweight title from reigning champion Chanhyeong Lee at RISE 175 on January 14. Lee himself is coming off a loss, one weight class up, against Hideki at the RISE World Series 2023.

Other than a draw at the beginning of 2022, Taiga's 2022-2023 has proven very successful picking up solid wins such as former Super Featherweight challenger Hyuma Hitachi, current Lightweight title holder Kan Nakamura, and Paul Karpowicz alongside Takeru on the MTGP card. He will now look to hold his first title since lifting the K-1 60 KG belt in 2017.

Chanhyeong Lee on the other hand will be looking to bounce back from his loss during his last fight. Although this was one division up and a fight to avenge his former loss against Hideki, the result came as a shock to many fans considering the momentum Lee had riding into the bout. During the post-fight interview, Lee said that many of his weaknesses were exposed in the match and he will look to improve on them in his now confirmed title defense against Taiga.

RISE 175 will be streaming on ABEMA TV with no VPN required.
