GLORY announced that Lightweight champion Tyjani Beztati will defend his title against reigning Featherweight champion Petchpanomrung in the main event of GLORY 84 on March 11 at the Topsportcentrum in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Fresh off his win against #1 contender Stoyan Koprivlenski, Beztati will look to continue his momentum against Petchpanomrung, who aims to become GLORY's second-ever simultaneous two-division champion after Alex Pereira completed the feat in 2019.
Petchpanomrung has become one of the most dominant fighters in the sport since winning the Featherweight crown against Robin van Roosmalen in 2018. After cleaning out GLORY's Featherweight division, he made his way to Japan to defeat former and current RISE champions Kento Haraguchi and Kosei Yamada. It only makes sense for him to move up a division and cement his legacy. The 6'3 tall Moroccan-Dutch will be without a doubt the biggest fighter he has faced throughout his career.
Also featured on the card is a Welterweight bout between Jay Overmeer and Jamie Bates. An interesting match-up between rising prospect and veteran, with heavy title contender implications.
Plus a Light Heavyweight matchup between Nordine Mahieddine and Felipe Micheletti.
Additionally, former Middleweight title challenger Ertugrul Bayrak will meet Michael Boapeah, and Light Heavyweight Imad Hadar will welcome Brice Kombou to the GLORY ring.
GLORY 84 will also include the promotional debuts of David Tuitupou and Strahinja Mitric, who will square off against one another in a Heavyweight bout.
Full fight card information will be announced in the coming weeks.
