Kickboxing Rankings May 2025 — Nico Pereira Horta Delivers Brutal Knockout to Rade Opacic, Advancing in the Last Heavyweight Standing Tournament

We take a look at all the top fighters that were in action during the last month.

As kickboxing continues to grow on a global scale with promotions like GLORY, K-1, ONE Championship, and more, fighters are constantly jockeying for position in the media's eyes, and rankings. Each month, the Beyond Kickboxing board will publish updated rankings for every weight class, from Heavyweight to Flyweight, along with pound-for-pound rankings for both men and women.

No fighter in the top 10 at Pound-For-Pound Men, Featherweight (-64 kg), Flyweight (-53 kg) has been active this month.

 


 

HEAVYWEIGHT (+95 KG)

Bahram Rajabzadeh (3) stopped Brian Douwes in the first round under the three knockdowns rule.

Tariq Osaro (4) stopped Benjamin Adegbuyi in the first round after scoring two knockdowns.

Jamal Ben Saddik (6) defeated Cristian Ristea by unanimous decision.

Nico Pereira Horta (7 to 5) knocked out Rade Opacic (5 to 7) in the second round with a massive right cross.

Sofian Laidouni (9 to 8) stopped Oleg Pryimachov in the first round after three knockdowns.

Guto Inocente (10 to NR) leaves the rankings and is replaced by Ionut Iancu (NR to 10). The Brazilian hasn’t scored a ranked win in three years, and his last two bouts were not under kickboxing rules. Iancu has won eight of his last nine fights and most recently stopped Cihad Kepenek for the second time to qualify for the next round of the GLORY Last Heavyweight Standing tournament.

 


 

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT (-95 KG)

Mory Kromah (10) won by technical knockout due to an injury suffered by Nicolas Wamba in the first round of the GLORY Last Man Standing Heavyweight tournament.

 


 

MIDDLEWEIGHT (-85 KG)

Sergej Braun (5) defeated Ali Yuzeir by unanimous decision to retain his WAKO Pro World 81kg title.

Islam Murtazaev (6 to NR) leaves the rankings after 18 months of inactivity. 

Max Weekers (10), former Enfusion champion, enters the rankings in his place.

Bilal Bakhouche-Chareuf (8) won by unanimous decision against Aaron Ortiz to capture the vacant World Muaythai Council 81 kg title. This result does not affect his ranking.

 


WELTERWEIGHT (-77 KG)

Regian Eersel lands left hook.

Regian Eersel (3) defeated Alexis Nicolas (5) for the second time by majority decision, scoring a knockdown in the second round to successfully defend his ONE Championship title.

 


 

LIGHTWEIGHT (-71 KG)

Sitthichai (3) lost by knockout to Nico Carrillo under Muay Thai rules. This result does not affect his ranking.

 


 

SUPER FEATHERWEIGHT (-67.5 KG)

Bobo Sacko (9) defeated Dejrit Sitsongpeenong by unanimous decision under Muay Thai rules. This result does not affect his ranking.

 


 

SUPER BANTAMWEIGHT (-61 KG)

K-1 fighter Hirotaka Asahisa after stopping Nakrob.

Hirotaka Asahisa (4 to NR) leaves the rankings after a year of inactivity in the division while being ranked in the weight class above. 

Hyuma Hitachi (NR to 10) enters the rankings in his place.

Kyo Kawakami (6 to 8) lost his Shootboxing 57.5kg title by majority decision to Kotaro Yamada (NR to 6).

Kaito Sakaguchi (9 to 10) defeated Angelos Giakoumis by unanimous decision.

Masahiko Suzuki (8 to 10) lost by unanimous decision to Ryunosuke Omori (10 to 8) after being knocked down in the second round.

Karmela Makelja (NR to 10) enters the rankings in her place.

 


 

WOMEN'S BANTAMWEIGHT (+57.5 KG)

Nina van Dalum (4) defeated Anta Sanchez by unanimous decision to retain her Fight Night One 57 kg title.

Stella Hemetsberger (5) knocked out Vanessa Romanowski in one round under Muay Thai rules. This result does not affect the rankings.

Antonia Prifti (NR to 6) made a successful return to the division after a two-year absence, stopping Eva Guillot (10) in the fourth round to capture the vacant ISKA Oriental Rules 57kg World title.

Seina (9 to NR) leaves the rankings after 18 months of inactivity.

 


 

WOMEN'S FLYWEIGHT (-53.5 KG)

Antonia Prifti (4 to NR) leaves the rankings after over a year of inactivity in the division while being ranked in the weight class above. 

Noriko Ikeuchi (NR to 10), reigning Krush champion, enters the rankings in her place.

Tessa De Kom (4) defeated Kyara Van Der Klooster by unanimous decision to successfully defend her Enfusion 52 kg title.

 


 

WOMEN'S STRAWWEIGHT (-50.0 KG)

Ines Daniela (NR to 8), WAKO Pro Mediterranean champion, enters the rankings in her place.

Marine Lievrouw (10 to NR) leaves the rankings after over a year of inactivity and a shift to boxing rules. 

Jade Palet (NR to 9), ISKA World champion, enters the rankings in her place.

Klára Strnadová (7 to NR) leaves the rankings after 18 months of inactivity under kickboxing rules. 

Miho Takanashi (NR to 10) returns to the rankings.
