Chadd Collins will face GLORY standout Miguel Trindade in a non-title super fight on the 17th of March.
The 28-year-old Collins surprised friend and foe when he beat the dominant king of the division Petchpanomrung last December to take the RISE Super Lightweight -65 KG belt. The Australian fighter is not planning to slow down, as he fought just last week taking home his fifteenth consecutive victory at Alpha Fight Series beating GLORY Featherweight Mohamed El Hammouti. At ELDORADO he returns to take on yet another GLORY top prospect.
Trindade made his debut in the organization just last December. Although "El Unico" lost his fight against crowd favourite Berjan Peposhi, he nevertheless made a big impression among the fans and lived up to his hype. The intense showdown with Peposhi in his GLORY debut was nominated for "GLORY Fight of the Year". In March the young Portuguese prospect, still only 22 years old, will take on an even bigger challenge in Collins.
The crossover of a GLORY fighter to RISE is not surprising as the two organizations have maintained close ties over the last couple of years. Last month those ties got even tighter as the two promotions announced a joined 65 KG and 70 KG division, named the "RISE of GLORY" league.
