As previously announced former two-weight Enfusion champion Luis Tavares, two-time GLORY Contender tournament runner-up Jahfarr Wilnis, rising prospect Tariq Osaro , and the popular Enver Šljivar will take part in a four-man GLORY heavyweight tournament. Promotional veterans will take on newcomers, as Tavares has been scheduled to face Šljivar in the first semifinal bout, while Wilnis will face Osaro in the second one. The tournament will serve both as an interim Heavyweight title eliminator, with the winner expected to face Plazibat at COLLISION 5 on June 15, and as a qualifier for the end of the year Heavyweight Grand Prix, which will earn the winner a prize of $500,000.
In the prelims, Morocco’s Iliass Hammouche and Cameroon’s Brice Kombou make their GLORY debuts.
Former ONE title challenger Murat Aygün clashes with one of the world's best Heavyweight prospects, Nikola Filipović, in a reserve bout for the Heavyweight tournament.
Aygün has gone 1-1 in ONE Championship, only losing to ONE Light Heavyweight Kickboxing champion Roman Kryklia, and makes his return to the ring for the first time in a year. Serbian fighter Filipović has had big success on the amateur circuit, winning various WAKO world titles, and now looks to prove his worth in the big leagues. Quality new signings and a return to form for GLORY Kickboxing.
GLORY 85 will be headlined by a GLORY Welterweight title bout between Endy Semeleer against the former Welterweight kingpin Murthel Groenhart.
