The promotion's Lightweight king impressed in his move up a division.

GLORY 93 took place Saturday night, July 20, from the electric Topsportcentrum in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

TYJANI'S WELTERWEIGHT DEBUT

Tyjani Beztati made his much-anticipated move up to Welterweight against former champion Endy Semeleer. The reigning Lightweight champion started strong, leaving Semeleer in the dust during the first three minutes of the fight. The speed difference was noticeable, with Beztati landing his jab and middle kick at will while evading any attempts at offense. The Curaçaoan-Dutch fighter had a better time in the remainder of the fight, finding his rhythm to nullify most of Beztati's offense. Nonetheless, he also had trouble scoring with damaging shots. After three rounds, all judges had Beztati up on the scorecards.

In his quest for two-division greatness, Beztati called out the current Welterweight champion, Chico Kwasi after the fight. While it makes sense for Beztati to quickly challenge for the title, Teodor Hristov, 3-0 in the GLORY ring, might have something to say about that.

PETCHPANOMRUNG VS. HARAGUCHI TRILOGY

Third time the charm? Not quite, as Petchpanomrung took home another dominant victory over Japanese contender Kento Haraguchi. Haraguchi had the right idea from the start, targeting the lead calf of the reigning champion, leaving him limping throughout the fight. Bafflingly, he abandoned this strategy for the remainder of the fight, letting the Thai fighter find his rhythm and ultimately dictate the fight. With his usual mix of kicks, clinch, and inside boxing, Petchpanomrung quickly zapped all of Haraguchi's stamina, making this a sloppy affair the longer the fight went on.

With his ninth title defense in the bag and the division cleaned up twice over, Petchpanomrung certainly doesn't have much left to prove. Nonetheless, more challengers are in the pipeline, as Miguel Trindade put on a beautiful display of kickboxing against the promotion's number one contender, Abraham Vidales. While Trindade has made a strong case for being next in line, there's also Bobo Sacko and Berjan Peposhi coming off impressive performances.
