Roman Kryklia and Iraj Azizpour have a date for their trilogy bout.
The finals of the ONE four-man heavyweight tournament will take place at ONE 163, which is scheduled to take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore on November 19, the promotion announced earlier this week.
The reigning ONE Light Heavyweight titleholder Kryklia earned his place in the finals with a 52 second stoppage of Guto Inocente at ONE 161 on September 29. Azizpour punched his ticket to the finals at the same event, with a hard fought three round unanimous decision victory over promotional newcomer Bruno Chaves.
This will be third time that the pair has faced each other. They first fought in the finals of the 2018 Kunlun Fight Super Heavyweight tournament, with Azizpour winning by unanimous decision. Kryklia would avenge the loss in the finals of the next year's Super Heavyweight tournament, as he won the fight by unanimous decision as well.
Immediately after their second meeting, both fighters signed with ONE Championship. Kryklia would win the Light Heavyweight strap and defend it twice before entering the Grand Prix, while Azizpour was able to twice leave the circle with his hand raised before entering the Grand Prix himself. Both are in excellent form and it promises to be an intriguing addition the the card.
As previously reported, the event will be headlined by a ONE Kickboxing Bantamweight Championship bout between champion Hiroki Akimoto and challenger Petchtanong Petchfergus.
