The inaugural GLORY champion will meet the reigning RISE titleholder.

"I want revenge on Beztati, but having already lost once it's not an easy position to be in. So in that situation, I'll do all that's possible and I hope you'll look forward to it."

The next step on Kaito's road to a rematch with the current GLORY lightweight champion Tyjani Beztati will be the former and inaugural GLORY champion Davit Kiria, who will face the RISE and Shootboxing titlist at SHOOT BOXING 2024 act.5 on October 13.

Having overcome a pair of fighters featured in the GLORY lightweight rankings, as well as a former ONE Championship beltholder, and with wins in five of his last six outings, Kaito has remained steadfast in his desire to avenge the loss he suffered at the hands of Tyjani Beztati in August of last year. His next chance to earn the rematch will come against the 36-year-old Kiria, who despite his age, has remained among the best fighters at his weight. He’s been able to turn away all but the most elite of opposition in the past two years, much like he has for the duration of his professional career, and a triumph over him is still proof enough that one belongs among the best of the best at lightweight.

The event will furthermore feature a pair of Shootboxing champions, the Yamada twins. The once-defeated Super Bantamweight champion Koyata Yamada will rematch Ryota Naito, who’s riding a three-fight win streak and who's, interestingly enough, previously lost to both of the brothers. Shootboxing featherweight champion Kotaro Yamada has been given a much easier fight, as he’ll face a frankly overmatched Kazuhito, who’ll enter the fight as significant underdog.
