Kaito is looking to add a Thai legend to his record.

Just one week after his triumphant win over James Condé, Kaito Ono has his next fight scheduled. Earlier today, Shoot Boxing held a press conference to announce their first event of 2024. SHOOT BOXING 2024 act.1 will go down on February 10 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. The headlining bout will be RISE & Shoot Boxing champion Kaito against former ONE Featherweight Muay Thai champion Petchmorakot under special Shoot Boxing rules that allow elbows.

After Petchyindee's fallout with ONE Championship and losing his title to Tawanchai, Petchmorakot took his talents to RWS where he continued his reign over the division up until recently. After beating high-level names such as Yodwicha and Shadow and going 5-1 in the promotion, the 29-year-old showed that he still can hang with top talent at the twilight of his career. In typical combat sports fashion, Petchmorakot announced his retirement just one month ago, but is now back in full force.

Kaito on the other hand is determined to get back into GLORY title contention, but is also willing to continue fighting top challengers elsewhere to keep active. As one of the busiest man in the sport, he has competed six times in 2023. His attention is also on another Thai challenger, Thananchai, whom he called out again at the RISE World Series event last week.
