According to the Bangkok Post, ONE Championship has suspended Kiamran Nabati and Ferrari Fairtex in a rare instance of both fighters from the same bout failing drug tests.
Nabati, who originally won by first-round knockout at ONE Friday Fights 95, has been banned for a year, while Ferrari faces a three-month suspension. Their fight result has been changed to a no contest.
The fighters failed drug tests conducted under World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) regulations, which are enforced by the ONE Anti-Doping Programme. Nabati’s sample contained drostanolone, modafinil, and meldonium, while Ferrari tested positive for heptaminol and octodrine. Their samples, collected on January 31 at Lumpinee Stadium, were analyzed by IDTM, ONE’s anti-doping partner.
A tough setback for the undefeated Russian fighter, who was on the brink of a title shot as the No. 4 ranked contender.

Nabati has a history of doping violations. IFMA, Muay Thai’s amateur governing body, banned him for six years in 2017 for clenbuterol use and tampering. In 2024, he received another four-year suspension for multiple infractions. Since those bans only applied to amateur competition, he continued fighting professionally, eventually earning a contract with ONE.
