The third meeting between the storied rivals was their closest fight yet.

ONE Championship returned to Lumpinee Boxing Stadium for their latest quarterly "tentpole" Friday Fights event – ONE Friday Fights 58: Superbon vs. Grigorian III, headlined by a closely contested world title clash between Superbon and Marat Grigorian. The Strawweight Kickboxing championship fight between Jonathan Di Bella and Prajanchai fell to the wayside after the Italian Canadian fighter missed hydration, and was later hospitalized. The title is now vacant, with Chatri Sityodtong stating that he's looking to book the two again, next month.

SUPERBON VS. MARAT GRIGORIAN

In the main event, Superbon edged out Marat Grigorian in their third meeting to take home the interim Featherweight Kickboxing title. Reigning champion Chingiz Allazov is currently on the sidelines, negotiating a new contract with the promotion.

Grigorian came out with more urgency than in their last fight and was able to close the distance and land vicious uppercuts on the inside. A circumstance that visibly bothered Superbon, as he seemed exhausted after only two rounds. Nonetheless, the Thai kept firing thudding kicks to the midsection of Grigorian that went undefended. As the fight went on, Superbon seemed to catch a second wind and was able to fend off the pressuring Grigorian with lunging knees and kicks. After five rounds all three judges agreed - a unanimous decision win for Superbon.

ZHANG PEIMIAN VS. ALIFF

Earlier in the card, Zhang Peimian defeated Aliff Sor Dechapan in a clash of styles. The Thai, who went undefeated in his four previous outings in ONE, made his kickboxing debut.

Peimian's pressure was too much to handle for him. A constant stream of body shots left Aliff pinned against the ropes for most of the fight. He valiantly fired back with vicious kicks, but Peimian used them as an opportunity to counter with a flurry of punches. A solid win, that puts Peimian back into the Strawweight title picture.
