The Muay Thai Standout launches his kickboxing career at the stacked 16-man tournament.

K-1 announced Thananchai Sitsongpeenong as the newest addition to the upcoming K-1 MAX tournament which will be held on March 20.

The Nak Muay will compete under kickboxing rules for the first time in his fighting career, following the footsteps of Thai legends like Buakaw, Kaew, and Kongnapa who have made the successful jump from Muay Thai to K-1 stardom.

Thananchai has a stellar Muay Thai resume, winning the Rajadamnern World Series Super Welterweight (70 KG) title in 2023 as well as collecting WBC, WMC, IFMA, and Thailand national belts. He has expressed interest in kickboxing before, eyeing RISE and Shootboxing Champion Kaito Ono as a potential opponent.

With the surprising inclusion of Japanese national boxing champion Rei Nakajima (6-3), who was also announced today, there are three more open spots for the tournament.
