Yasumoto wins the RISE Featherweight Title in a high-paced fight of the year contender to cap off RISE 182.

Haruto Yasumoto defeated Keisuke Monguchi in the main event of RISE 182 to cement himself as the champion in RISE’s Featherweight (-57.5 kg) division. The newly crowned champion Yasumoto fought a tough opponent in Monguchi, and was able to recover from a head kick in the third round to cap off his victory by outlasting Monguchi over an intense five-round barnburner of a world title fight.

In the co-main event, Arina Kobayashi continued her dominant run by dominating South Korean fighter Bo-Kyeong Byun in a Mini Flyweight (-49 kg) world title fight and extend her winning streak to eight fights. Just a day after the event had concluded, RISE announced that the Japanese fighter would go up a weight class to challenge Flyweight (-52 kg) champion Tessa De Kom for her belt at RISE 184 on December 15.

Earlier in the card, former GLORY  fighter Samo Petje claimed a unanimous decision victory through four rounds over Motoyasuk in the Middleweight (-70 kg) division, and Takumi Sanekata floored Taichi Ishikawa with a right hook near the end of the 3rd round of a Welterweight (-67.5 KG) bought.

RISE organizers also held a retirement ceremony for Akari Watanabe, the atomweight who last fought in 2022 in a win against Erika and recently announced her retirement in September of this year.
