Haruto Yasumoto defeated Keisuke Monguchi in the main event of RISE 182 to cement himself as the champion in RISE’s Featherweight (-57.5 kg) division. The newly crowned champion Yasumoto fought a tough opponent in Monguchi, and was able to recover from a head kick in the third round to cap off his victory by outlasting Monguchi over an intense five-round barnburner of a world title fight.
In the co-main event, Arina Kobayashi continued her dominant run by dominating South Korean fighter Bo-Kyeong Byun in a Mini Flyweight (-49 kg) world title fight and extend her winning streak to eight fights. Just a day after the event had concluded, RISE announced that the Japanese fighter would go up a weight class to challenge Flyweight (-52 kg) champion Tessa De Kom for her belt at RISE 184 on December 15.
Earlier in the card, former GLORY fighter Samo Petje claimed a unanimous decision victory through four rounds over Motoyasuk in the Middleweight (-70 kg) division, and Takumi Sanekata floored Taichi Ishikawa with a right hook near the end of the 3rd round of a Welterweight (-67.5 KG) bought.
RISE organizers also held a retirement ceremony for Akari Watanabe, the atomweight who last fought in 2022 in a win against Erika and recently announced her retirement in September of this year.
