Koki Osaki is set to make his highly anticipated ONE Championship debut against Huo Xiaolong on November 8, following an impressive run in RISE. After successfully defending his RISE Bantamweight (-55 kg) title in August, Osaki has been vocal about his desire to compete internationally, particularly in ONE Championship, where he sees greater opportunities on the global stage.
"As the RISE champion and a representative of Japan, it's only natural for me to win, and I will show the world the strength of Koki Osaki."
In his most recent bout at RISE 181, Osaki delivered a dominant performance against Ryunosuke Omori, showcasing relentless pressure and a seamless blend of strikes and clinch work. He joins the growing list of Japanese kickboxers making the switch from K-1, RISE, and Shootboxing to ONE Championship.
For his debut, Osaki will face Huo Xiaolong, the most active strawweight on the roster, with five fights under his belt (3-2).
With Koki's debut now confirmed, the possibility of his older brother, Kazuki Osaki, who holds the ISKA and RISE Flyweight (-53 kg) titles, making his own ONE debut seems likely in the near future as well.
