ONE's finest Heavyweight striker returns to the ring for the first time in a year.

ONE Fight Night 17 has found a new main event. After news broke that Tawanchai had been hospitalized with a serious viral infection, fans were worried for the health of the Thai superstar. As it turns out, the ONE Featherweight champion is already on his way to full recovery, and his title defense against Superbon has only been postponed by two weeks.

ONE Light Heavyweight kickboxing champion Roman Kryklia will take the lead and return to the ring for the first time in a year. He was last seen stopping Iraj Azizpour to win the ONE Heavyweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix. Instead of defending his kickboxing belts however, he will fight for the inaugural ONE Muay Thai Heavyweight title – a discipline he's only competed in once throughout the last decade.

His opponent will be 33-year-old Alex Roberts. Just last month, the Australian has been crowned WBC Heavyweight champion with a victory over Lyndon Knowles. He looks to continue his momentum capturing another belt only two months later, but comes in as a sizable underdog against Kryklia.
