As kickboxing continues to grow on a global scale with promotions like GLORY, K-1, ONE Championship, and more, fighters are constantly jockeying for position in the media's eyes, and rankings. Every month, the Beyond Kickboxing board will compile kickboxing rankings for each weight class from Heavyweight to Flyweight, as well as the pound-for-pound rankings for both men and women.
No fighter in the top 10 at Lightweight (-71 KG), Featherweight (-64 KG), Super Bantamweight (-61 KG), Flyweight (-53 KG), and Women's Atomweight (+47 KG) has been active this month.
POUND-FOR-POUND MEN
Donovan Wisse (6) defeated Ulric Bokeme by split decision to protect his GLORY Middleweight title for the fourth time.
HEAVYWEIGHT (+95 KG)
Levi Rigters (2) defeated Nico Pereira Horta by unanimous decision. After a strong tournament run, Rigters put on a questionable performance against his fellow Dutch fighter.
LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT (-95 KG)
Thian De Vries (7) stopped Nabil Ayyadi in the second round with low kicks to capture the vacant Enfusion -93 KG title.
MIDDLEWEIGHT (-77 KG)
Donovan Wisse (1) defeated Ulric Bokeme (4 to 3) by split decision to protect his GLORY Middleweight title for the fourth time.
Michael Boapeah (2) defeated Serkan Ozcaglayan (5) by unanimous decision.
Sergej Braun (7 to 6) defeated Mohamed Touchassie (8) by unanimous decision after scoring a spinning back kick knockdown in the first round. A week later he defeated Bilal Chareuf by unanimous decision to defend his WAKO Pro world title.
WELTERWEIGHT (-77 KG)
Jay Overmeer (6 to 7) lost by unanimous decision to Teodor Hristov (10 to 5). The Bulgarian scored two knockdowns in the first round and stayed in control for the rest of the fight.
Bogdan Shumarov (7 to 10) lost to Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong (NR to 8) by split decision.
Arian Sadikovic (10 to NR) is pushed out of the top 10.
Dmitry Menshikov (5 to 6) knocked out Sinsamut Klinmee under Muay Thai rules. This doesn’t affect his ranking.
SUPER FEATHERWEIGHT (-67.5 KG)
Hiroki Akimoto (5 to 6) lost by unanimous decision to Wei Rui (6 to 5). A closely contested decision, many fans thought could have gone the other way.
Denis Wosik (NR to 9) makes his entry after defeating Jan Kaffa by unanimous decision.
Berjan Peposhi (NR to 10) won his rematch against Ahmad Chikh Mousa by unanimous decision.
Tetsuya Yamato (9 to NR) leaves the rankings.
David Mejia (10 to NR) is subsequently pushed out of the rankings.
BANTAMWEIGHT (-58 KG)
Haruto Yasumoto (6) defeated Temirlan Bekmurzaev by unanimous decision in a 61.2 KG bout.
SUPER FLYWEIGHT (-55 KG)
Koki Osaki (6) knocked out a short notice Yodbuadeng with body shots in a 58 KG catchweight.
Akram Hamidi (8) knocked out Petchartchai under Muay Thai rules. This doesn’t affect his ranking.
