As kickboxing continues to grow on a global scale with promotions like GLORY, K-1, ONE Championship, and more, fighters are constantly jockeying for position in the media's eyes, and rankings. Every month, the Beyond Kickboxing board will compile kickboxing rankings for each weight class from Heavyweight to Flyweight, as well as the pound-for-pound rankings for both men and women.
No fighter in the top 10 at Middleweight (-85 KG), Featherweight (-64 KG), Super Bantamweight (-61 KG), Women Pound-For-Pound, and Women's Openweight (+59 KG) has been active this month.
POUND-FOR-POUND MEN
Superbon (2) defeated Marat Grigorian (10 to NR) by unanimous decision for the interim ONE Championship title. A closely contested fight, in which Grigorian showed more promise than in their last meeting. Nonetheless, the Thai was able to outlast him once again in the championship rounds with a barrage of middle kicks. Grigorian now stands at 2-3 in the last two years, and although all his losses has been to top opposition, he lacks notable results to retain his status in the pound-for-pound rankings.
Taito Gunji (NR to 10) re-enters the pound-for-pound rankings. The K-1 champion is riding a 13 fight win-streak, and is coming off a win against RISE champion Keisuke Monguchi in March 2024. A career-best performance, the 25-year-old landed a whole array of different body shots to handily outscore his opponent.
