It was revealed earlier today that Ilias Ennahachi had vacated the ONE Flyweight Kickboxing title, due to his inability to make the 135-pound limit while being hydrated enough. As such, he has withdrawn from his scheduled title defense against Superlek Kiatmookao.
Although he won't have a chance to avenge his loss to Ennahachi, Superlek will still be able to convert his five-fight winning streak into a title shot, as he has been booked to face Daniel Puertas Gallardo for the vacant ONE belt. Gallardo, who was initially expected to face Rodtang Jitmuangnon in a kickboxing bout at the same event, will look to make good on this unexpected opportunity and capture the championship in what will be only his third appearance with the promotion. In the two fights he's had with ONE Championship so far, he suffered a decision loss to Panpayak Jitmuangnon in October of 2021 and won a decision against Jiduo Yibu.
Rodtang will still make an appearance at the event, as he has been re-scheduled to face Jiduo Yibu. While Yibu is a solid fighter, he is a step down from Gallardo's level and Rodtang will come in as the favorite to maintain his perfect record inside the ONE cage and extend his win streak to eight straight fights.
The event will be headlined by a ONE Featherweight Kickboxing title bout between Superbon Singha Mawynn and Chingiz Allazov, the two top-ranked pound-for-pound fighters in our rankings. Another pound-for-pound ranked fighter, Anissa Meksen, will take on Stamp Fairtex in a mixed-rules bout.
