Rodtang opened the doors of his home and family gym today as Thai media gathered to hear his response to the ongoing legal dispute involving ONE Championship. The Pa Phayom native said he remains open to negotiations despite the promotion filing a lawsuit seeking 542 million baht (approximately $15.4 million USD) in damages over alleged contract breaches and defamation.
Speaking on April 18, Rodtang’s legal team confirmed the case is now in court and declined to provide further comment while proceedings are ongoing.

According to his representatives, they have requested a fully executed copy of the contract signed in 2022. They said the version Rodtang received in late 2025 carried only his signature and not that of an authorised company representative, raising questions over whether the agreement is legally binding.
The team also referenced correspondence from ONE’s legal department indicating the contract should be treated as “frozen” during the legal process. They are seeking clarification on whether that affects Rodtang’s scheduled April 29 bout in Japan.
Despite the dispute, Rodtang said he has no intention of leaving the promotion and remains open to resolving the situation through discussion.

“We haven’t spoken yet. I don’t have any problem with Chatri. I still love and respect him the same as before. I just want to protect my own rights. I do not want to fight with Chatri. He is the man who made my life what it is today,” Rodtang said.
He also invited ONE Championship chairman Chatri Sityodtong to speak with him directly regarding the situation.
“I still have a good friendship with them,” he added. “I have always been a good kid and I am ready to negotiate. I have no plans to move to another organisation because I still respect ONE. I’m ready to negotiate and continue doing my duty.”
His legal team added they have been in contact with ONE since January to discuss revised terms after the previous agreement expired in March 2026, but said no draft of a new contract has yet been provided.
