Kickboxing Rankings November 2024 — Regian Eersel Reclaims ONE Lightweight Kickboxing Throne, Avenges Loss to Alexis Nicolas

We take a look at all the top fighters that were in action during the last month.

As kickboxing continues to grow on a global scale with promotions like GLORY, K-1, ONE Championship, and more, fighters are constantly jockeying for position in the media's eyes, and rankings. Every month, the Beyond Kickboxing board will compile kickboxing rankings for each weight class from Heavyweight to Flyweight, as well as the pound-for-pound rankings for both men and women. 

No fighter in the top 10 at Flyweight (-53.0 kg), Women's Openweight (+59.0 kg), and Women's Atomweight (-47 kg), and Women's Flyweight (-53.5 kg) has been active this month.

 


 

POUND-FOR-POUND MEN

Donovan Wisse (5) claimed his fifth title defense in a dominant display against Sergej Braun, tying Alex Pereira's record for the most defenses in GLORY Middleweight history at five.

Tyjani Beztati (10) and Chico Kwasi went to a split draw for the GLORY welterweight title. Beztati seemed to find success mixing in body punches but Kwasi started opening up with punches as the fight went on. Towards the end of round 2, Kwasi found a home for his right straight, leading to a knockdown. It was an impressive slip and counter to line up the shot.

Nabil Khachab (10) defeated Buğra Erdoğan by unanimous decision.
 


 

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT (-95 KG)

Ibrahim El Bouni (7) defeated Bogdan Stoica by an extra round unanimous decision.

Thian De Vries (8) stopped Mimoun Jazouli with a jumping knee in the third round.
 


 

MIDDLEWEIGHT (-85 KG)

Donovan Wisse (5) claimed his fifth title defense in a dominant display against Sergej Braun (6 to 5), tying Alex Pereira's record for the most defenses in GLORY Middleweight history at five.

Michael Boapeah (2) defeated Mohamed Touchassie (8) by unanimous decision after scoring a knockdown on calf kicks.

Islam Murtazaev (4 to 6) goes down two spots following a year of inactivity.

Sergey Ponomarev (7) defeated Jayden Eynaud by split decision to capture the vacant Ural FC title.

 


 

WELTERWEIGHT (-77 KG)

Chico Kwasi (1) and Tyjani Beztati (2) went to a split draw for the GLORY welterweight title.

Alexis Nicolas (4 to 5) lost by unanimous decision to Regian Eersel (5 to 3) for the ONE Championship title.

Teodor Hristov (6) defeated Robin Ciric by extra round unanimous decision.

 


 

LIGHTWEIGHT (-71 KG)

Kaito (6) defeated Davit Kiria by unanimous decision. The Japanese fighter had Kiria hurt in the opening round, but couldn't keep up the pressure through the remainder of the fight.

Ouyang Feng (7) qualified for the Wu Lin Feng MAX Finals after winning a 4-man tournament. He defeated Johannes Baas by decision in the semifinals and Alexei Ulianov by unanimous decision after scoring a knockdown.

Stoyan Koprivlenski (9) defeated Jinku Oda by extra round split decision after both fighters received an eight-count in the third round.

Bobo Sacko (9) defeated Denis Wosik (10) by extra round split decision. 

 


 

FEATHERWEIGHT (-64 KG)

Hiroki Kasahara (7 to NR) leaves the rankings, he hasn’t competed under the 64 kg limit in kickboxing in over a year and has stated he plans to stay in the 65 kg division.

Kongnapa (4 to 10) lost by decision to Wei Weiyang (NR to 9) in the semifinals of his Wu Lin Feng 4-man qualifier tournament. Wei Weiyang went on to lose by decision to Giorgi Malania (NR to 8) in the final of the tournament. Malania had previously defeated Zhang Lanpei by unanimous decision in the semifinals.

Taio Asahisa (NR to 4) returned from inactivity, formerly No. 2, following a hand injury. He defeated Ryuka by majority decision.

 


SUPER BANTAMWEIGHT (-61 KG)

Rémi Parra (6) stopped Andoni Iglesias in three rounds on a week's notice to capture the interim WAKO Pro 64.5 kg world title.
 


 

BANTAMWEIGHT (-58 KG)

Keisuke Monguchi (3 to 4) lost by unanimous decision to Haruto Yasumoto (7 to 3) for the RISE -57.5 kg title. In a high-paced fight-of-the-year contender, he outlasted Keisuke Monguchi over five intense, hard-fought rounds.

Taito Gunji (2) defeated Cristian Bogdan by unanimous decision for the vacant ISKA Intercontinental 59 kg title.

Toma (8 to 10) was knocked out in the first round by Shoki Kaneda (10 to 6) with a left hook.

 


 

SUPER FLYWEIGHT (-55 KG)

Kumandoi (4) defeated Waewwaw by decision under muay thai rules at 51 kg. This doesn't affect his ranking.

 


 

WOMEN'S BANTAMWEIGHT (-57.5 KG)

Stella Hemetsberger (4) defeated Chellina Chirino (9) by unanimous decision. A closely contested bout, that many fans saw the other way around.

Debora Evora (7) lost to Darya Kuvakina(6) by extra round decision. 
 


 

WOMEN'S FLYWEIGHT (-53.5 KG)

Saho (3) defeated Erivan Barut by unanimous decision.

 


 

WOMEN'S STRAWWEIGHT (-50.0 KG)

Arina Kobayashi (1) defeated Bo-Kyeong Byun by unanimous decision at 52 kg. Fresh off her win at RISE 182, Kobayashi will challenge Tessa De Kom for the RISE Flyweight (-52 kg) title at RISE 184.

Panchan (7) defeated Mirei by majority decision.
