Donovan Wisse shows dominance in his division with another defense of his title.

A title fight, big upsets, close back-and-forth battles – GLORY returned to the RTM Stage for one of their most action-packed events so far this year.

MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT

Middleweight king Donovan Wisse made the fourth defense of his title against a crafty veteran in Ulric Bokeme. Although, unlike many of his recent defenses, this fight would prove to be one of his toughest, with many of the rounds being closely contested between the two fighters. For the first time in his title reign, Wisse looked vulnerable, with Bokeme hurting the champ in the fourth round and claiming one of the only clear rounds of the fight. In the end, Wisse would earn a well-fought split decision victory, remaining on his throne as the true king of the Middleweight division.

MIDDLEWEIGHT MIX UP

Sergej Braun showed that he is still a contender in the Middleweight division by acting as a spoiler to the hype of highly touted prospect Mohamed Touchassie. The German Karateka knocked down the prospect with a spinning wheel kick, shattering Touchassie's jaw and sending him to the canvas. Touchassie showed heart and grit by getting up, although ultimately losing a decision to Braun.

Coming off a loss against the champion, Michael Boapeah proved he is still a top fighter in the middleweight division with a lopsided victory against the heavy-punching Serkan Ozcaglayan. Showing much greater restraint in this fight, the Ghanaian worked the leg of the Turkish fighter and picked his shots, efficiently landing on the power puncher without opening himself up to heavy counters.

NEW WELTERWEIGHT CHALLENGER

Newcomer Teodor Hristov upset former title challenger Jay Overmeer in a closely contested fight, however, two knockdowns in the first round by a flying knee and a right hand in the pocket by the Bulgarian would secure the victory for the newcomer. Another shake-up in the division with fellow newcomer Chico Kwasi winning the title last month with a TKO victory against champ Endy Semeleer. With this win over Overmeer, the Bulgarian is likely on a collision course with the newly crowned champ.
